Calm and determined, Sideshow is the de-facto leader of the Novelty Circus, having been there the longest out of all current members.  He usually has the decisive say in what will or won't happen,  but makes sure to consider all opinions before settling on an outcome.Sideshow loves the circus and sees them as his family.  He is willing to do whatever is necessary to ensure they all prosper  —  including suffering other's punishments when they inadvertently incur the wrath of the Ringmaster.

Logical and blunt, Freakshow is the heart of the circus who cares deeply for her crew, even though her direct approach to problem-solving may not always show it. She maintains a courteous degree of respect for everyone until they do something to lose it. She isn't quick to anger, but she also isn't quick to forget.As a dreer with an overgrowth mutation that makes her stature far larger than it should anatomically be, she typically uses custom-made crutches designed by Carousel to move around. Her bulky size is incredibly powerful, but generally tedious for her to manoeuvre in day-to-day life.

Flamboyant and haughty, Parade's entire deal is being the centre of attention and herald for all things pizzazz. He adores the spotlight and actively tries to put himself in it whenever possible.Although he thinks he hides it well, Parade has a tendency to let his jealously cloud his judgement. What he deeply, truly wants he strives to get — so when things don't go his way, everyone tends to know about it.

Ninepin is a reserved, no-nonsense vrahl who prioritises efficiency and structure over everything else. He ended up in service to the circus after his second pair of arms were crushed in a cave-in, which in the eyes of his species made him useless to their cause. He believes his future in the circus to be the next best way he can serve his people.Although he isn't loyal to anyone but the Mother and his Division leader, Ninepin tolerates being Sideshow's subordinate. He recognises that Sideshow's seniority in the circus and his strong relationships with the rest of the crew makes the archae the optimal leader of their group.

Jester is one of the very, very few vrahl who developed a sense of self external to the rest of his species. He defected after being forced to commit an action he now considers his greatest sin.Although he is highly trained in using tactical weapons, Jester prefers throwing knives and prides himself on the level of precision he has cultivated since leaving his Division. He is totally disenfranchised with the will of the vrahl Mother, having willingly disconnected from the vrahl's hive mind after deciding to go rogue.Jester enjoys his role as a father figure to Carousel. He sees her as somewhat of a daughter, and would willingly lay down his own life to protect hers. Although he despises the circus, he begrudgingly acknowledges it to be the only place he can ensure Carousel's safety, and so he endures its harsh conditions.

One of the youngest in the circus, Carousel is a very reserved and shy archae who startles at having to interact with anyone other than the crew beyond their performances. She has a good eye for detail and loves tinkering and creating small objects or mechanisms from anything she can get her claws on, but isn't very confident about her creations.Carousel was rescued as a child by Jester right after the death of her biological father. She is very attached to the vrahl, and sees him as a father figure since she has been under his care for the majority of her life. She joined the circus with Jester after the vrahl decided it was the safest place for them to be.Carousel is hopelessly in love with Daredevil. Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to realise that Daredevil's affectionate attitude towards her is an indication of something more than "just friends".

Daredevil is a young, happy-go-lucky, and (as her name would imply) highly daring archae/dreer hybrid. She has never experienced life outside the circus, but doesn't let the less than desirable conditions inside of it get her down.As the youngest of the crew alongside Carousel, Daredevil sticks to the other youngster's side like glue. She is very expressive in her actions and doesn't hold anything back. Her fondness for Carousel is extremely obvious. Unfortunately for her, Carousel seems that much more determined to be entirely oblivious.

Tent is a sentient, amorphous, fabric-like creature that can shift its body into any shape at will. Most information about Tent is unknown, as it very rarely communicates with the rest of the Circus crew. Given it has never spoken, it is presumed to be mute.
